Site Introduction

Otemachi JPIX Otemachi is located at the focal point of Japan’s Internet traffic, KDDI Otemachi Building. The academic IX dix-ie is located in the same building, along with the many major national and international ISP networks gathered here. These ISP’s are connected to “JPIX Otemachi.”

Otemachi 2nd Located in the data center of BroadBand Tower, Inc. IX connection made possible through data center within the building.

Toyosu The total floor space in the building is 140,000 square meters which is the largest scale data center in the world. The many major national and international ISP networks are located in the same building.

Nihonbashi Located in the data center “ComSpace” which is directly linked with the backbone circuit of domestic and major cable landing stations in Japan. ComSpace is Carrier Neutral data center and provides a high-end environment and rich connectivity. The academic IX dix-ie is located here.

Tennoz This data center offers a full range of premium colocation, interconnection and support services with high design standards, operating excellence and network neutrality. It is the most network-dense data center in Japan, a network hub where over 80 international and local carriers as well as cloud providers meet to provide rich interconnections for its clients. Moreover, direct connection to the main IXPs in Japan is possible.

Nagoya Meieki This site is highly convenient for connections not only from the Nagoya district but also the Tokai and Kinki districts, allowing connections from a wide area. It also permits further distribution and greater availability for the Internet by connecting services of JPIX Metropolitan TOKYO and JPIX Osaka. The data center located at the site boasts an excellent line environment and is carrier neutral.

Osaka Dojima Services the “Local IX Function” within the largest ISP Location in Kansai area. NTT Data within Telepark, NTT Communications, and NTT West building are IX connectable through the use of fiber or Access Network Service within the Telepark.

Osaka Kyobashi This site is located within KDDI’s TELEHOUSE OSAKA 2. Recently built as a key location for data center services in western Japan, TELEHOUSE OSAKA 2 began operations on August 21, 2015. With racks that can handle heavy loads offering power availability of up to 30 kVA (rated) per rack this data center can meet customers’ requirements for hosting everything from private clouds, to highly integrated content services and public clouds.

Osaka Shinsaibashi The OS1 Data Center (OS1) is the first International Business Exchange™ (IBX) in Osaka, and it was established as the first carrier-neutral data center in the Kansai region. OS1 is located in the heart of the City of Osaka, and enables a direct, low-latency connection to the Dojima area, the hub of Osaka’s telecommunications network. This is also the location of the Equinix Cloud Exchange™ in Osaka, which offers connectivity to major cloud providers such as Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure.

Osaka Sonezaki Sonezaki Data Center is one of the largest data center in western Japan with earthquake-resistant design and high-quality facility environment using NTT building. High-quality and low-cost optical cabling services ensure effective peering.

Fukuoka “QTnet Fukuoka Data Center 3” buildings employ a seismic isolation structure to ensure uninterrupted operation even in the event of an earthquake of intensity 7 on the Japanese seven-stage seismic scale, offer power supply backup with emergency generators in addition to electrical equipment redundancy, and provide an environment in which continuous operation is possible following all kinds of disaster through measures such as installing all electrical and communication equipment, as well as important server room equipment in the 2nd floor of the building or higher.
